Student Mentorship Program in the House of Delegates

Ever since my undergraduate years in Respiratory School, I’ve always been passionate for this field. I always felt like I was the only one until I went to the House of Delegates meeting. Having experienced first-hand the time, energy and work these individuals put in for promoting our profession truly left me humbled and on fire for what is to come for Respiratory Care in America and around the world. This is an experience everyone in this field should aim for as they’ll come to realize, like me, that there are people fighting in the backgrounds for their rights as respiratory care practitioners, for our patient’s rights, and the improvement and growth of this profession as a whole.

Tiara Flores, Master Degree Student at Texas State, relates her experience in the Student Mentorship Program in the House of Delegates.
